In response to these critical needs, SaniPass emerges as an innovative solution based on Blockchain technology. This pioneering platform seeks to transform the management of blood components, human tissues, and medicines, providing meticulous traceability from production to the final use in patients. By leveraging the inherent security and transparency of Blockchain technology, SaniPass not only addresses current concerns in the healthcare sector but also establishes new standards for efficient and secure management of essential health products.
Solution
We have closely collaborated with the consortium to develop SaniPass, an innovative solution. The project focuses on researching, developing, and testing a solution that ensures the traceability of healthcare product data during logistic management and control processes. A key aspect is the creation of a digital passport with blockchain technology for health products, ensuring the integrity of data for blood, tissues, and medicines intended for people. Despite having an already protected record, the implementation of blockchain ensures the immutability and security of this data. Additionally, the goal is to establish efficient access to stored information, with comprehensible visualizations for medical staff and patients. The project involves collaboration with various technology and health-focused companies, all committed to addressing challenges and improving the management of elements essential to human health.

The various stakeholders involved in SaniPass (pharmacies, hospitals, outpatient centers, patients, etc.) requiring information about health products, such as blood, tissues, or medicines, will have a specific platform. This tool will allow them to input information about different products and facilitate traceability, transparency, and efficiency of data..

To enhance the research and development of Sanipass, we collaborate on this project with an expert and comprehensive consortium. This group includes Blue Circular Innovation, a technological startup linked to Blue Room Innovation, focused on applying blockchain knowledge and platform development for sustainable projects. CataloniaBIO & HealthTech, comprising over 210 leading health companies in Catalonia, drives competitiveness and innovation. AT-Biotech, a Spanish company developing traceability solutions for the health sector, and Smartech Cluster, a non-profit association promoting the growth of smart cities, also participate.
