Caritex is a digital platform designed to enable schools, organizations, and businesses to easily manage textile recycling, foster environmental awareness, and promote sustainability.
Its main objective is to facilitate the traceability of recycled clothing, allow schools to request collections quickly, access indicators and training resources, and encourage participation through dynamics such as rankings and competitions between schools. At the same time, it offers managing entities an efficient tool to organize collections, record data, and analyze results, thus creating a collaborative ecosystem that drives the circular economy.

What have we accomplished?
We have developed a multilingual digital platform that makes it easier for schools and organizations to manage, trace, and raise awareness of textile recycling through indicators, collection requests, and educational resources.
Technology
Caritex is developed as a multilingual and customizable web platform, based on web application technologies (front-end/back-end), databases for recycling data traceability, and export in standard formats (CSV).

Caritex faces the challenge of uniting education, business, and society around a common goal: giving new life to textile waste, reducing environmental impact, and fostering a cultural shift toward more sustainable and responsible practices.

It allows centers and organizations to view collection indicators and histories, request container emptying, and access training resources, while managing entities have a back office to record, filter, and export data, optimizing their processes.
In this way, Caritex transforms clothing recycling into an efficient, transparent, and participatory process, fostering environmental awareness and commitment to the circular economy.

Caritex offers each entity a dashboard where they can manage their profile, view collection indicators and history, and request automatic container emptying, ensuring a streamlined and transparent process.

As for the next steps, the project seeks to expand its reach by incorporating more educational centers and businesses into the system, as well as integrating advanced data analysis and filtering features to facilitate decision-making.
