El propósito esencial de este proyecto es crear una dinámica positiva entre productores, envasadores y consumidores para disminuir considerablemente los residuos y los costes relacionados con el consumo alimentario. The project proposes the development of environmentally friendly, biodegradable and recyclable packaging from organic waste generated during the production of kombucha, specifically from SCOBY (Symbiotic Culture Of Bacteria and Yeast).

The following results are expected from the OrganicUp project:
1. Biodegradable biomaterial developed from the organic waste SCOBY, applicable to the packaging sector.
2. Functional prototype of ecological and recyclable packaging, specifically designed for the optical sector.
3. Traceability system through blockchain and digital passport to guarantee the origin, circularity and recycling of the packaging.
